The Edmonton Heyoka Healing Society (EHHS) is an Indigenous-led registered non-profit that has been supporting the Indigenous community of Edmonton and surrounding areas through culturally appropriate programs and services for over twenty-five years.
By offering the local Indigenous community direct aide through social work support, trauma-based counseling, elder support, food hampers and ceremony facilitation, EHHS is addressing the disadvantaged social determinants of health that result from the ongoing impact of colonialism.
As a collective of Indigenous healing professionals and cultural mentors, we bring together Elders, artists, guest speakers, and community members, to offer numerous services, programs, and community-focused events in support of family and survivors of the MMIWG2S+ crisis while addressing systemic barriers faced by Indigenous community members.
